Talk to someone

You might want to talk about something that's happening around you, or something that you're doing yourself. Either way, we're here to listen, and because we know it's not always easy, we try to put you at ease.

You can tell us what's on your mind and together we can work out what to do for the best.

Why talk?

Talking about how you are feeling and what is going on can be really difficult sometimes - but it is important as if you bottle things up you are more at risk of using drugs and alcohol to cope with how you're feeling. Did you know according to Samaritans

  • over 60% of teenage boys don’t know what to do when someone becomes emotional towards them

  • over 40% of girls also don’t know how to react to someone who’s upset

  • over half of teenagers don’t know how to express their feelings – they can only stick to the facts when they talk about their problems

Look out for our workers around the boroughs, in youth clubs, schools, colleges, parks, streets and at local events.

Or call or e-mail us.
